Connect to the host, but only see a black screen
Hi there,
I’ve been using TeamViewer for about a month now, and it’s been absolutely perfect. That is, up until about a couple of days ago. Now when I connect to other computers all I can see is a black screen and the cursor. Sometimes it comes out of it after a few minutes, but most of the time it doesn’t. It’s the same if I’m connecting from my Mac, my iPhone or my iPad.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, I have seen this as well, but I don't really want to have to be relying on old versions of TeamViewer.
I've created a workaround of sorts. The issue seems to be that when the diplay goes to sleep, TeamViewer can't wake the screen up. So in energy preferences (I'm on a Mac) I've set that to 'never', and this seems to have fixed it.

This workaround is for TV 13.2.5321 jul 24 2018, no need to downgrade.

I was having this happen as well when trying to connect from my Windows 10 PC to my Mac. What I found that worked is disabling the "Remove remote wallpaper" option on my Windows PC.
