Monitoring only of PC

I am on a personal license and would like to monitor my kid's computers without interfering with their mouse movement.  Is there a setting for that?  When I see the setting "Disable Remote Input", I would think that this is for this, but it turns out that "remote" means on the local computer (quite the opposite of what I would have thought - I figured I was the one that was remote).  I don't seriously need to pay an expensive monthly subscription for this one feature, do I?
