TeamViewer 12 keeps crashing on remote connection to mac

When I try and connect to remote computer (mac) from my mac mini the app crashes

I can however connect from my ipad and iphone!!

Version: 12.0.78517 on both machines

I have uninstalled and reinstalled also removed preferences file in library - no joy
