moving from the remote control screen to my computer and back to the remote screen disables the keyb

This is happening on multipule computers and browser types...

I connect to a remote computer, and am able to use my keyboard to type on the remote computer. when I move out of the remote control screen (to check my email for example) and comes back to the remote control screen, the keyboard and mouse dont work well anymore.

For example, say I want to click the mouse on some links, or type a web address on the remote computer. my keyboard will only type a single letter on the address bar of the remote computer's web browser.

clicking an icon on the desktop of the remote computer (say I want to open an application), will not allow for double click, even if I do double click it many times...

Anyone ever had that issue? any idea how to over come it?
