Centos 7.7 TV 15.3 - Crash on GUI startup

Hello

When launching TeamViewer 15.3 in Centos 7.7

[admin@centoslowdell ~]$ teamviewer 

Init...
CheckCPU: SSE2 support: yes
Checking setup...
Launching TeamViewer ...
Launching TeamViewer GUI ...

I have read the video driver could be an issue. On my machine I have a P1000 Nvidia GPU. Is TV 15 compatible with Nvidia linux driver?

Hi @chlowden

Have you downloaded the app from the official website or trough the Linux repository? In the second case, I would recommend you to fully uninstall it and remove any settings (if it gives you this option), reboot your computer, download from the website and install it as well.

And one last question please, have you tried to run it from the icon within the applications menu?

Hello

I installed using yum and I am running TV 15.3

To get the current install version I used:

rpm -qa | grep teamviewer

I have uninstalled TV 15.3 using

sudo rpm -e teamviewer-15.3.2682-0.x86_64

downloaded TV 15.4 (NOT THE HOST VERSION) and installed using

sudo yum localinstall teamviewer_15.4.4445.x86_64.rpm

But sadly that has not solved the issue.

Removed the new version as described above and tried rpm directly from the downloaded folder

sudo rpm -i teamviewer_15.4.4445.x86_64.rpm

But still no joy.
Would you have any other ideas?

rpm -qa | grep teamviewer
teamviewer-15.3.2682-0.x86_64
sudo rpm -e teamviewer-15.3.2682-0.x86_6

works for me quite well. What did i do:

installed CentOS 7.7 using CentOS-7-x86_64-NetInstall-1908.iso

added EPEL repo (because TV needs Qt5WebKit )

# yum -y install epel-release

downloaded rpm from teamviewer webpage: teamviewer_15.4.4445.x86_64.rpm

install it using yum:

# yum install ./teamviewer_15.4.4445.x86_64.rpm

start it

$ teamviewer

agree on license

teamviewer UI shows up

do you have errors in the logfile
/opt/teamviewer/logfiles/TeamViewer15_Logfile.log

Thank you for confirming it does work for you. What kind of hardware did you do install on? Are you using an NVIDIA GPU driver or xorg ?

My system crashes when trying to open the GUI. That said when I try to use TV in terminal, I get lots of errors.
