Full screen HDMI from iPad

I am using TeamViewer (free) on my iPad Pro 11” to access my MacBook Pro at home. When I can, I connect the iPad to a monitor or TV via HDMI.
The display on my iPad is not full screen and it would be useful to have it fill the screen considering it’s only an 11” iPad. Worst still, the display on the monitor/TV does is centralised in the screen but nowhere near full screen.
Does anyone know how to improve this, ideally to fill both iPad and HDMI screens?
