Connect a Windows 10 (Home) PC with a Mac OS 10.9.5 (Maverick)

I'm trying to connect a Windows 10 (Home) PC with a Mac OS 10.9.5 (Maverick).  According to the following link, I am supposed to be using, "OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) TeamViewer 9-12."

On the Mac, I installed Teamviewer version 9.0.43731 from the following link:

On the PC, I downloaded 9.0.41110, but when I install it, it says the version is 9.0.9xx from the same page listed above.

When I attempt to connect the PC to the Mac, I receive a message stating, "The remote TeamViewer is running an old version which is out of date. Therefore you cannot connect to this Version anymore."

So, on the PC, I installed 8.0.44109 from the following link, thinking that with the PC now having a version older than the Mac, it will give me a different message.

I tried to connect to the Mac, still running version 9, but received the same error messsage.

On the Mac, I then installed TeamViewer version 8.0.2.0942, using the above link.  I still get the error message that the Mac is running an older version and cannot connect.

Note:  I cannot update the OS on the Mac any higher than 10.9.5 due to software I have running on it that I need, which will not run on a newer OS.

Can somone please help me connect these two systems?  BTW they are both running the FREE personal license of TeamViewer.
