Administrator activity in user profile

Hi!

When I want to make a setting on a user's machine that needs administrator rights (eg, to allow a service on the firewall), my screen goes black and I get a message that the user's machine is unavailable. What do I need to set up avoid black display and can type the name and password of my admin account?
