Why am I forced to update
Hi Esther,
What would help, I think, is to make clear that when someone purchases a TV license they are buying a license that is LIMITED to the current and earlier versions and that TV offers no grace period. I recently purchased a TV business license, but only just now learned that TV will prevent me from connecting to any future versions. Had I known this, I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED a license and would have used a TV free license. Your licensing model is nuts, and like others in this situation, I will begin to search for a company that is HONEST and UP-FRONT about how their licensing works. Perhaps your license explains SOMEWHERE that I bought a license only for version 13 and no future versions, but that was not made clear to me during my purchase experience.
Thanks for listening to my side of the story.

Hi @Todd_in_LA
Thanks for your message and your feedback.
First of all: I moved your feedback into a new topic as the other topic was talking about updating to TeamViewer 12 and I thought, that your individual case deserves an own thread. I hope you do not mind.
Secondly, I am sorry for the confusion and the hassle! But after checking your license I can assure you that your license is not a so called "lifetime license" which will only work with TeamViewer 13, but a subscription which gives you the right to always use the latest version of TeamViewer.
Please feel free to reach out to my colleagues in sales directly if you would like to get more information about your individual license.
Thanks a lot and enjoy using TeamViewer.
