Partner screen is black

A friend downloaded TeamViewer for the first time. But her screen is completely black (if I have selected to remove background) or I only see her background, no files on her desktop are visible at all to me when I try remote control. Any suggestions on why I can't see anything? I've never had this happen before. Sorry, I can't attach a screenshot because evidently TeamViewer doesn't allow it.

    Hi

    Is the remote pc an Apple running macOS?

    If so, you must enable screen sharing and other permissions in remote pc settings.
