does the remote computer need to sign in

I am trying to access a Mac remotely. The user says she needs to enter a password. Is that accurate? Thanks

Hello @NewYorkTutor,

If you are trying to access a Mac remotely, YOU should be the one entering the TeamViewer ID and the password of the remote Mac. Not the remote user.

Thanks - that's what I thought. I think the user on the other end was typing in the space where the TeamViewer ID was supposed to appear. Is that possible, Jean?
