Computer Sign In Message when no sign in has occurred

Hi, I use the free version to remote into my parent's computer. Lately, on occasion, throughout the day, on my computer I get a pop-up window that says, " 'MyParent's Computer name'.local has signed in". But I know for a fact no one at their location has signed into their computer or even touched it.

It is an iMac desktop that stays powered up and logged in but these messages appear when I know for certain the computer has not been touched for hours or days and would actually be in a sleep mode.

What does this message mean and should I be concerned?

@nbstl68 In this context, signed-in can sound misleading, indeed.

I confirm that this is only the computer going online, and not a user logging into the computer.

Hello @nbstl68,

It could be, that the sleep mode disconnects (and reconnects) on a regular basis the computer to our master server.

Therefore, you will get this notification every time this happens.

Thanks. So "Signed in" sounds misleading because neither the local, nor the remote user actually signs in when this occurs but maybe that's the only way the server reads a connection to the software? I really just want to make sure there was no potential unauthorized access of the computer going on by an outside source or another unauthorized TeamViewer account.
