Access Problem after disable recursion on the DNS Server

Hello,

BSI Bund CERT-Reports tell us to close DNS-Resolver because of risk of DDoS-Reflection attacks against IT-Systems. After I disable the recursion on the DNS Server the TeamViewer Host on the Server say: "Not Ready. Check you internet connection." And there is also no ID shown.

What I can do to reactivate TeamViewer Host access?

I found the solution by myself.

Don't disable the recursion on the DNS Server instead block in the Firewall the incoming TCP and UDP Port from DNS. So the DNS ist not reachable from outside and the Test from BSI will be fine too 😉
