Teamviewer mouse stops working

When I am using remote desktop and I open task manager the remote management stops working and can only be controlled by the physical mouse at the other side. We also have an automatic backup and when that runs it locks me out also.

The mouse no longer clicks and no shortcuts seem to work. I have no control until someone closes task manager or the program. What can be causing this? Only happened in the last day or two

    I have the same issue, it's suddenly stopped working. Did you resolve this at all?

    I think signing out of Teamviewer on the machine I was taking control of then signing back in did the trick if memory serves!
