I am trying to support my elderly mother (88yrs) on her PC. I have an identical system so that I can guide her screen by screen and message by message. Unfortunately as soon as lockdown came her PC would no longer connect via TeamViewer. She gave me the Partner password in order to connect and it isn’t working any longer. Really frustrating as her memory is fading and so being able to go onto her system and show her where things are and how to do things has been essential these last few years. Increasingly my mothers ability to drive her PC is fading which is upsetting her. I have talked her through uninstalling and reinstalling TeamViewer but it will not let her sign in despite saying her name at the ‘Free License non-commercial use only’ banner at the top. I have tried sending an ‘Invite Partner’ automated email link. Which just opens the already loaded software. When I go to Connect it says ‘connecting’ at the bottom of the screen but then times out with ‘partner not connecting to router’ or similar message. Could someone give me a basic checklist so that I could get her back up and running again. Any ideas or tips greatly appreciated.
Can see what I am doing wrong. It was a good while since I set it up and as I cannot go into her house since lockdown I am finding the troubleshooting very difficult.
