prompt to start remote screen sharing and control was working now its not

I setup teamviewer quicksupport on my parents android 11 device and allowed it to add the universal add-on component enabled with accessibility permission.

After that we were able to do several remote control quicksupport sessions from my windows desktop and android tablet to their android 11 phone.

We were trying to us it today and it prompts them to "Allow" staring a teamviewer quicksupport session, where we can send chat window messages back and forth, but it doesn't prompt them to "Start" the remote screen sharing and control behavior. On my end when using the windows client if i hit the "remote control" button in the middle of my teamviewer session with them something flashes quickly on the screen and then goes away. On my end when using the android client it doesn't even establish the teamviewer client to quicksupport chat window session telling me something about the partner has not allowed connection if though they are hitting allow on their end.

Any insights on what has changed with the quicksupport setup on their android 11 phone that has taken us from a working quicksupport remote control experience to one that now doesn't work?
