outdate version 12 on remote computer

This is an older computer running tv 12.x and I am using TV 15.25.8 with a corporate license. The owner of the computer passed away and I need access to assist her with estate issues. She is not computer literate and in a bad emotional state. I am in Maine and she is in Florida. How can I perform a remote upgrade on her computer so I can access? This is a time sensitive issue? Thank you,

JeanK, Thank you the accurate response. That said, my friend confuses obvious click bait with actual content and is not capable of understanding even simple directions regarding technology. I have no idea why TV would not have implemented a 5 minute rule for older versions (instead not connecting at all) so system admins could at least have enough time to change settings in the client software or perform a remote update. What happens when an account changes providers and the teamviewer version is old? I would think the ability to have a short login time would be beneficial to team Viewer in retaining an account rather than providing a basis for an alternative product... Thank you for responding.
