No Partner password is generating alongside the ID, how do I fix this to gain connection?

I am attempting to connect to my work desktop (mac) from my laptop (windows) using TeamViewer. A Partner ID is ready when I open the application on my desktop, but there is no password generated. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and still having the same problem. My laptop has both ID and password generated and I can view my laptop from my desktop, but I need it to be the other way around. Does anyone know how to fix this to get a password generated for connection?
