I see this problem has existed in some form or fashion since 2016 and it's a little baffling that the issue hasn't yet been identified and fixed.
I just installed TV on two different Macbook Pros and I can initiate a remote session from one to the other but the window stops updating after a few seconds. The mouse still works and I can click and do everything, but the view isn't updating on machine initiating the remote session. Clicking refresh doesn't do anything and one of the suggestions from TV support to remove and reinstall the software is sorta garbage since I just installed this for the first time on new machines.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here? Anyone from TV care to comment on why this issue still exists after 5 years and would like to offer a solution? I'm about to uninstall and just deal with OSX Screen Sharing again or run my own VNC client/server.
