TeamViewer QS is amazing, I know I can help my customers and I don't have to worry that they don't have TeamViewer installed.
Except when they have TeamViewer installed the Quick Support does not work.
Then they can simple give me their ID and password (which they happily do)
Except that it means that I now can reconnect to their computer even after our call is done.
Except that telling the password over the phone never works on the first try (sending a screenshot over email works)
According to last contact with Support I could use a Session code instead.
Except that it doesn't work unless the user already have TeamViewer installed. There is no QuickSupport download available here.
Keep in mind that our use of TeamViewer is to help people. But the current state of TeamViewer makes it yet another problem that needs solving before we can get to solving the problem they had in the first place.
Now what would be great is if TeamViewer...
- TeamViewer Quick support could work both as a download for those without TeamViewer and a session code initiator for those that have it installed. I don't buy excuses like "can't run two programs at the same time with the same name"
- TeamViewer Session Code link would offer a QS download for those that do not have TeamViewer installed.
