Mother scammed into installing teamviewer

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can assist with some questions I have.

Two days ago my mother was scammed via a caller into installing teamviewer on her computer. Once installed the perpetrator connected and proceeded to persuade my mom into pulling up her bank account so he could assist her with removing a fraudulent charge. She was basically scammed out of $8000 which is upsetting since she is retired and on a fixed income.

Question - I've looked through a teamviewer connection log and see the connection time, however is there a detailed log to possibly see everything this guy did when he was connected? Is there anything I can send teamviewer support that may be able to determine anything? My big concern is he was able to access her documents folder that contains some PII information. Would give us both peace of mind if this stuff was never touched.

The appropriate team will be able to assist. If you have not already, we also recommend filing a police report with your local law enforcement agency.
