Hi, I am trying to install version 12 on a windows 7 pc, however I get the’ cannot open this file’ error when I try to run the setup.
Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Yes I have downloaded from your previous versions web page, as an administrator.
We have version 15 already installed, it is the support company requesting we install version 12 so that they can access. Would there be any issues trying to go between different versions?

Did you download TeamViewer from our download page? Link to it, right here: Download TeamViewer 12
Additionally, I'd like you to run that file as an administrator to make sure you do have the proper rights to install the application.
💡Hint: The latest supported version for Windows 7 of TeamViewer is our latest one 15.32.3.
