how do I keep Remote screen from going black in a few seconds
Hello @jcarey348,
Welcome to the TeamViewer Community! 🚀
Quick question - are you connecting to a corporate Android managed via Knox?
Looking forward to your reply.

It is a Samsung A03 but I did the setup for her and didn't set up Knox. I had to look up Knox because I didn't know what it is. If it comes pre-installed on all Samsung's is there any settings in Knox that I might need to change to fix this problem? A little background for clarity sake, My 87 year old technophobic but highly intelligent mother was still using her 1990's flip phone and is afraid of the smart phone. Verizon sent her this phone free because they are shutting down 3G and she mailed it to me to set up. I did my best to make it so there's very little for her to see on the home screen and installed TeamViewer so if anything went wrong I can fix it and also so I can teach her how to use phone, text and camera. 3 month's in and she still only using phone call function. She's not ready to learn text and camera yet. I set it up so I can log in without her intervention but when I do it's black screen and when she pushes the button to light up the screen it doesn't stay on very long and I have display set to stay on the longest time available, I forget if there's a never (go off) in the settings but it's the max setting for screen on time and while using TeamViewer it's a very short time before it goes off.
Thank you for sharing further information.
Just so I can understand the technical setup here - did you install QuickSupport or Host on her mobile phone?
I installed Host, then in an attempt to solve the problem after further reading, Quicksupport.
After talking with our dev team, I can confirm that some Samsung devices have black screen issues.
Because of technical limitations, some devices are not "fixable" from our side.
