How do I connect to a remote iPad from my MacBook Pro?

I want to fix a few things on my Mother's iPad. She is in my own town in India and I am in the USA. So using Teamviewever I would like to connect and fix it remotely from here. She can connect to my MacBook Pro but I cannot connect to her iPad as the Teamviewer app on iPad does not show the ID and Password to connect. So, is there a way to get around this? Appreciate any help.
