Unattended access on mobile

I give up entirely. Manually entering my password one billion times on mobile and desktop is not my idea of fun. Who can tell which app needs to be installed where, what version, what codes. Devices fail to be added, then get added, then do not appear in managed devices. This is an endless loop of ridiculousness using multiple crytic codes you have to be writing down somewhere furiously, and then things just do not work.

Does this device only receive connections, or does it connect to others, too?

If it only receives connections, and you want them to be unattended, I would advise keeping just TeamViewer Host on this device.
If this device also connects with others, you can have both TeamViewer Host and TeamViewer Remote.

The TeamViewer Quick support always asks for confirmation. It can be useful for a first-time connection, so you can set up TeamViewer Host. The first connection via Easy Access (unattended) will prompt for permission, but the message should disappear after that. You can remove TeamViewer QuickSupport after installing TeamViewer Host to avoid possible errors when connecting unatendly.

Hello Carol,

I have a similar question with some additional information. I have a free test version of TeamViewer loaded onto my Iphone 12Promax and a Samsung Galaxy S9 running Android software version 8. I'm attempting to set up "unattended access" without the need to have someone near the S9 answer the prompts to approve the connection. I have been told by several sources that by using an Android phone running software earlier than 10 that I should see a prompt "do not ask this question again" or something to that affect that will allow me to connect and control the S9 screen with truly no one monitoring this phone. Can you help me understand why I am not seeing this "do not ask this question again" on the S9. I have to approve the screen sharing request each time even on the S9 phone. The android phone is loaded with Quick TeamViewer, the Universal Add on and Host TeamViewer apps. The iphone is running the TeamViewer Remote Control App. Thank you.

It seems you're interested in having unattended access to remote connect to your mobile as well as your desktop. Since it's a different topic, I split the discussion to better assist you. 😄

Unattended access is the capability of connecting to a remote device automatically without having to enter ID and password over and over again.

👉 For the setup of both mobile and desktop, Easy Access is recommended.

A) Local device

The device that starts the remote connection, must have the full version of TeamViewer installed ➜ TeamViewer Remote.

B) Remote side

For the device that receives the remote connection, it's recommended to use Teamviewer Host.

📌Please note:
- On mobile, unattended access via Easy Access is only possible with TeamViewer Host. You can find the step-by-step of this setup here.
- On desktop, unattended access via Easy Access is recommended by using TeamViewer Host on the remote side; however, if the remote side also needs to remote connect, you will need to configure it on the full version.
  - The images below have the steps of this configuration for both interfaces:

TeamViewer Classic interface:

Click the gear icon (⚙) on the top right
Select the General tab
On Account assignment, click the button Assign to account... and enter the account you want to have unattended access to this device.
We also encourage you to select Manage this device, so the device will automatically show up in your contact list. 😉
Click OK to save.

TeamViewer Remote interface:

Click the gear icon (⚙) on the bottom left
Select Go to this device's settings
Select the tab Advanced Settings on the left menu and click Open advanced settings.
Select General and here you will be able to do your account assignment as well as add your device as a managed device.
Click OK to save.
