"Unable to Connect"

I have used TeamViewer for years to control the Win10 PC in my ham radio shack. Suddenly, when I try to connect from my laptop I get a "Unable to Connect" error message that states "Either your partner is not connected to the internet or your partner's TeamViewer isn't running yet." The remote PC is connected to the internet, but TV is no longer running on that machine. When I try to invoke TV on that machine (it no longer activates at boot time) from the Start Menu I get a "Problem with Shortcut" that continues with "The item TeamViewer.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly." TeamViewer_Service.exe is not running, and I cannot invoke it directly from the Program Files\TeamViewer folder. How do I restore automatic operation of TeamViewer on my PC?

I would like to know which TeamViewer version and module have you installed on the remote side.

At the same time, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall TeamViewer on the device?

Thanks for your reply. There is something much deeper about my TV problem. It appears that part or all of the TV executable is missing. I tried to uninstall the program, but Windows reports that it cannot find the uninstaller. I tried to download and install the latest Teamviewer Host (x86-32 bit) but it says a previous 64-bit version is already installed and should be removed first. Something has gotten corrupted, and I am stuck unable to uninstall the old version or to install a new version.
