Can't get rid of traces of Outlook add-in

I haven't had Teamviewer installed in a LONG time but the TV link in the reading pane remains.

The craziest thing is I used some instructions from Microsoft to uninstall Office 365 completely. I got it to the point where I had to login to my Microsoft account again to run the software and all of my email accounts and addins were gone. It was for all practical purposes a fresh install.

And yet, the TV box survived! I have no obvious TV references left in the registry. No obvious TV files.

Anyone knows what invokes this and how to stop it….Other than nuking my Windows for a fresh install?

Looks like the TeamViewer add-in in Outlook remains even after moving the files from the registry. Can we ask, what is the manufacturer of your TV box and OS version?

What you did was definitely helpful! We can improve that by following a couple of more steps:

Outlook may still reference the add-in if the COM registration was not cleaned up fully. So, firstly, we would recommend checking the Outlook COM Add-ins. To do that:

1. In Outlook, go to File > Options > Add-ins.
2. At the bottom, select COM Add-ins from the dropdown menu.
3. Click on Go, that is next to the dropdown.
4. From the list, select the items related to TeamViewer.
5. Click on Remove.

Secondly, if the TeamViewer Outlook Add-in is listed separately and it is shown in the Outlook Options, we recommend searching for it in the Control Panel. Here is how:

1. Go to Control Panel.
2. Select Programs > Programs and Features (can also be Settings > Apps depending on the version).
3. Look for TeamViewer or TeamViewer Outlook Add-in.
4. Select it.
5. Click on Uninstall on the top bar.

Hope one of these will already fix the issue, so that you will not need to reinstall Windows.
