Hello everyone,
After entering the Windows credentials, what are the permissions of the connecting terminal? Is it the logged in user?
What if elevated permissions are required?
Hello @TheSummerIsGood,
It is great to see you in the Community!
When choosing Windows Authentication for the remote connection authentication, you are asked to enter the Windows user account credentials. The user permission will be the same as the Windows user account that has been given.
We would like to get to know more about the details of other permissions from you. Is it the remote control permission during the connection or the Windows admin permission?
Hope to hear from you again!
Best,
Ying_Q
Thank you for getting back to us! @TheSummerIsGood
Before running any commands, please ensure your user account has administrator privileges on the device. If any prompts ask you to enter the Windows admin account, please follow the instructions to complete the login.
Let me know if the information helps you! Have a great day!
Thank you for your reply.
What if some commands require administrator privileges to run?
For example, I log in with an administrator account, but when running certain programs or scripts, I still need to right-click and select "Run as administrator" to run them normally. Or Windows will display a UAC prompt to enter an administrator password.
