I am on a Mac. He is on a PC and I cannot see his mouse. Which makes it impossible to use team viewer. Any would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for the help!

Please verify if the option Show your partne's cursor is checked.
On TeamViewer (Classic) you can find this Remote control setting in TeamViewer options, and on the TeamViewer Remote UI you can find it under Edit Profile. TeamViewer (Classic) UI:
