I purchased a Perpetual Commercial/Business License about 10 years ago.The main purpose of purchasing this license was to use TeamViewer for Internet-based remote access for research and business purposes.
Recently, TeamViewer disabled remote access for my perpetual license and now only allows LAN connections. However, LAN mode is not a remote access feature and has almost no practical value in a business environment. This means the core functionality of the product I purchased has been removed.
TeamViewer support told me that the perpetual license “still works in LAN mode,”but this is not the product I purchased.A commercial remote-control software without remote capability is essentially non-functional.
I am not asking for updates or new features.I am simply asking that the original remote access functionality – which existed at the time of purchase – not be taken away.
Disabling the main feature of a perpetual license is effectively a termination or downgrade of the license.
I request one of the following:
- Restore remote access functionality for my perpetual license, OR
- Provide appropriate compensation for removing essential functionality.
I hope TeamViewer can review this matter fairly.
