How to use latest free version of Team Viewer

I occasionally use TeamViewer to assist my daughter when she is working on her Windows 10 laptop. However, both of us having recently installed the latest free version of TeamViewer, I am finding I cannot follow what both she and I have to do so that I can remotely control her PC while she is in attendance. Could someone kindly tell me what both I and my daughter have to do on our respective laptops to enable me to remotely control her laptop from mine. I believe we both start on the "Remote Support" page but if I am mistaken please correct me.

We’re happy to help you get started with TeamViewer. Please follow the instructions below.

On your PC:

• Install the TeamViewer Full Client (click Download TeamViewer).
• Create a TeamViewer account and sign in.
• Navigate to the Remote Support tab and enter the TeamViewer ID displayed on your daughter’s TeamViewer login page.
• Enter the password shown on your daughter’s TeamViewer as well.

On your daughter’s PC:

• Install the TeamViewer Full Client (same as above).
• Open the application and locate the ID and password on the login page.
• Share the ID and password once ready.
