We request the ability for licensed users in a company to maintain user‑owned private devices (e.g. personal laptops/home lab systems) with unattended access (Easy Access), without those devices becoming company‑managed assets visible to all company admins.
Use case:
- Personal development machines
- Home PCs used occasionally for work
- Private devices not subject to corporate inventory, monitoring, or admin visibility
Proposed constraints (to remain compliant):
- Device clearly marked as User‑owned / Personal
- No policy enforcement, monitoring, or RMM services
- Company admins see only a count, not details (or no visibility at all)
This capability existed previously via Legacy Devices and Contacts and is now missing with the new Device Management model.
