Hi,
I'm a customer support engineer for specialist systems based around the world. I often connect to customer PCs using TeamViewer.
There are three methods that the customer installs TeamViewer onto their PC:
- They download TeamViewer directly from the TeamViewer website and provide me with a User ID and Password
- They download TeamViewer via a Custom Module link I send them
- They download TeamViewer via a session code I send them
I want to be able to connect to the customer PC with the absolute minimum of action required from them, such as sending updated passwords every time a connection is lost or needing a customer to 'accept my connection'. I need this due to time differences around the world to enable me to access PCs when no one is present at the PC in the middle of the night!
Which would be the best method above for unattended access to customer PCs?
Secondly, the PCs I access have two Windows user accounts, Administrator and Operator. If the customer installs team viewer using the Operator account, I cannot always access Administrator actions I require to complete my work. Sometimes user switching is greyed out. My customers have PCs ranging from XP onwards!
Is there a way to always ensure I have Administrator privileges?
