Required to block Teamviewer access for some users in organization. What ports need to be blocked?

Hi,

I am System Administrator Manager in a large organization. I required to block teamviever access for some users in my organization network as per organizational policy.

Is there any ports teamviewer uses which can be blocked to block access?

Any help will be appriciated!

Thanks for your post.

Do you just need to block outgoing connections? If so, you can just install the TeamViewer Host on the devices. The Host is just for incoming connections.

Thank you for the response.

I want to completely block teamviewer (incoming/outgoing) connection for few users. The article you shared is helpful but It is mentioned that teamviewer uses port 443 and port 80 if port 5938 is blocked which we cannot block because port 443 and port 80 is used for http and https internet traffic and if we block it then all other websites using http and https ports will be blocked also.

Is there any other workaround for blocking it?

Well - you could install the TeamViewer fullversion and block incoming and outgoing connections via the advanced settings.

I have full version installed and I tried that you mentioned but still it is connecting to teamviewer server.

I have circled it with red color.

This green light indicates that your TeamViewer has a working connection to our servers.

However - if you disable incoming and outgoing connections via the settings, no connections are possible.

To turn this green light into red, you will need to cut the connection to our servers off. One possibility is to only allow LAN connections via the general settings.
