Windows 10 Start Menu in remote session has wrong resolution / not functional.

The machine I am connecting to has convereted it's start menu to look like this, and it's not functional (you can't select what's graphically there..)

I am resizing my ultra-wide monitor down to 1680x1050 with the 'Screen Resolution' menu under 'View' and have 'Scaled' selected, also. Everything else scales fine though. Changing these resolution and scaling options doesn't make any difference to this.

Any ideas?

diud you guys find any solution because i currently facing the same problem.

when using RDP the menu is OK but with teamviewer everything is resized.

I just setup two new Windows 10 computers and both have the same problem as you.

I've read it has something to do with the screen being off, i.e. a laptop with the lid closed and/or a monitor turned off on a desktop, both of which is the case for me at the moment.

Investigating....
