I need to connect to free TeamViewer 8 but due to the new rules described in https://community.teamviewer.com/t5/Announcements/Updating-to-the-latest-and-greatest-version-of-TeamViewer/m-p/49692 I cannot use my free version 8 nor the free version 14.
If I buy a commercial license for version 14, will I be able to connect to free version 8?

If you have a license you can indeed connect to previous versions, but as mentioned in out post, please keep in mind, that we are asking all our free users to update to TeamViewer 14. That means, that you will also have to update at some point your device with TeamViewer 8.

i'm in the same situation of BenTen. I have got a licensed TV14 and i need to connect to a free TV8. There's no way to connect to the remote partner, nor with the pc, nor wih the smartphone. Both smartphone and PC are correctly licensed.
In your last reply you said that "you will also have to update at some point your device with TeamViewer 8 ". What does this mean? From 27 may to today something change? From what i can understand i shouldn't have these connection problems.
