TeamViewer freezes on laptop that I use as a remote when I unplug the HDMI cable from my desktop

Just a few days ago I started using TeamViewer on my laptop to control my desktop while it was unplugged from my monitor because it had to be plugged into something else I was trying to set up. Until just a moment ago it worked perfectly but now when I unplug the HDMI cord from my computer, TeamViewer on my laptop freezes. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?

    Hello @Slam

    Thank you for your message.

TeamViewer always captures the remote screen.

If you plug out the HDMI cable, you cut the connection to the screen. This can lead to display bug and freezes.

There is, unfortunately, no workaround to avoid this. If you want a clean screen sharing and transmission, the cable needs to stay plugged in.

    Best,
