I use Team viewer Only for personal use i have several Computers at home. were i help my Kids or Parents fix things they brake.
Now i get only 5 minutes ever time i try to help one of them. how can i resolve this. i have been using teamviewer for 10+ Years

I have used Team Viewer for years and I always use Free license since I am only connecting to my parents' PC to fix stuff from time to time and help them with other things on their PC. In the recent versions of Team Viewer, it has become a nightmare using it since it will disconnect every 10-15 minutes and it's not due to inactivity but whatever the reason. Sometimes it would say "license expired", sometimes it would say "end of trial". Neither of these messages are incorrect since I am using the free version. I have to reinstall it every time to get a 10-15 min time to do what I wanna do. This is ridiculous. Please assist.

I recall the simplicity of TeamViewer of the old version, an old time ago (I mean 5-10 years)
What perfect tool it was to help my elderly parents while being away from them.
Version upgrade after version upgrade Teamviewer got more and more complex with full of presumably great features for business licences but utterly useless for simple usage. Forcing account to be created was the latest absurdity.
Not to mention that constant software upgrade leads me to spend more time doing upgrade before being able to help my eldery parents rather than just helping once in a while my parents. Not to mention the pain to upgrade their quicksupport app because backward compatibilty is not something that your understand and you cannot remotely connect to their pc.
Today I got kicked out after 5min being redirected to "hey wanna subscribe for a business licence". *bleep*. Then I when through the Reclaim "Free licence for non commercial use" process. So paintful to have to justify myself for making the mistake to use Teamviewer a couple of time per year. Good lord, you feel loved with suche a process in place.
What a great case demonstrating that Teamviewer want to kick out all users that doesn't pay premium business licences despite their poor tentative to claim "yeah free non commercial users are welcome".
Maybe it is time to step away from Teamviewer and find a new basic remote session tool to help my parents.

I have tried to submit the form to reclaim your free version, but there is an internal error on the form. Is anyone else getting this, and was there a fix? Is it a browser issue or a TeamViewer webpage issue?
I have tested Chrome and Firefox, and they have the same error code.

I am also getting the AEM-AF-901-004 error. Is there any workaround for this?

I use my account every 3-4 months to support my elderly grandmother. I only ever connect to her computer, never any others with TV.
This morning I got disconnected after 1 minute from her machine and have issues getting reconnected after.
Please help.

I was a commercial user with a license provided through work and used TV Remote for years. I was recently let go from my position and I thought all I'd have to do is make a new account with my personal email address and then carry on as usual - but when trying to help a friend with a browser hijacker my session was timed out after about 20sec and then I was unable to reconnect. Am I stuck having to purchase a $50 USD/mo license to continue using TV?!?!

I was suspected of commercial use. I submitted my reset and have been approved TWICE that account is indeed a personal use account. Before I did the reset, I did the business trial for my account so that I could continue to use teamviewer while they took the time to look into resetting my account. Now I get this error connection, (see photo). I need help figuring out how to get this stupid business trial license scrubbed from my account. I've called teamviewer on the phone and been told that they took it off for me. They obviously didn't. I guess they lied. Please give me a solution so I can get back on teamviewer.

Under my phone in teamviewer, it says migration required. I've emailed teamviewer about this multiple times and then they tell me it's been changed to a free account but obviously something isn't going right. I barely use teamviewer to begin with but when I do, I'd like to be able to use it without having to pay for a license when I'm not even using it professionally. Please advise.

hello i recently try to open my second personal pc and it connects just fine but then a minute later it just closes pictures attached with the messages i get
first picture is when i connect
second picture is when it closes
and ive already did the thing to show that it aint commercial but still it says that for some reason. works perfectly fine on the web browser though

I am an unpaid volunteer who provides tech support to members of my local senior citizen center. Previously, I have successfully used TeamViewer to support a local senior citizen. Today, I installed TeamViewer on a second senior citizens Chromebook. Both my computer and the Chromebook were connected to my home Wi-Fi network. When I attempted to connect to the Chromebook, a message on the Chromebook warned that free versions of TeamViewer were sometimes used by scammers. My name was displayed and so was part of my email address. Two buttons were visible. One button said something like "Deny Access" and the other button said something like "Allow Access". However, the Allow Access button was grayed out and I didn't see anyway to enable the Allow Access button.
Please advise on what I need to do to enable TeamViewer on the Chromebook.

Hallo, I am using your free product for years. I signed a convetion on the 22/02/2018. See attched JPG.

But since i am connecting Via a Fiber Internet box and the replacement of my computer running Windows 11 Pro, I am restricted to 5 minutes of connexion.
I still do free help for family and friens without being paid for it.
Could it be possible to again have a non resticted connexion as I had a few months ago.

Hi, I use the free version for only one "client", my father, apparently the system recognized me as a commercial client for some reason and it disconnects me and I have to log in again every few minutes and it drives me crazy. How do I solve this?

I'm trying to support family but it kicks me off every 5 mins recently. It used to be every 30 mins that it would kick me out of the remote connection, whilst connected to my family PC.
30 mins was fine but every 5 mins is really inconvenient. Able to solve or change please? I need to help my parents operate technology.

I'm quiting Teamviewer and moving on to something else. I wanted to leave some feedback and let them know why, as I have always really enjoyed Teamviewer and it was my remote software of choice since around 2013, but marketing has ruined it. I have ALWAYS used Teamviewer privately. To access MY computers, that no one else uses. Not always from home but always on MY own hardware that I own. To be accused of Not playing fair, repeatedly, when i have done nothing but play fair is just ridiculous and infuriating. The first time it happened i was like "oh, well thats fair i guess, ive used this for about 10ish years. Ill gladly pay for it." then i saw the prices. I would gladly pay 10-20ish bucks a month or some amount a year. But i do not use teamviewer enough or need all the features id be paying for. Its a hassle to unlock the account and ridiculous to have to do it so often. I'm not sure how my account got tripped, but its ruined this wonderful application for me. Paying doesnt make sense and the lock outs are ridiculous. I get it, but its ridiculous. thank you for the time i did have with it however. for whatever its worth. I'll move on to something that makes sense for me. Happy trails.

A few years ago, I took my personal notebook to a customer I was consulting at, and I had to connect to their network to do my job.
As a result, TeamViewer automatically changed my license from personal use to corporate, and now you guys want me to pay for a license even though I only used the app for personal use. I think it's a little ridiculous to think I'm a corporate user when all I did was connected to a corporate network with a personal device, to carry out tasks that were not remotely related to breaching my TeamViewer 'personal use' agreement.
Please change this flag back to personal. I can't use TeamViewer anymore because of this stupid change, not even on my PC, which has never set foot on a customer's premises that is linked to a corporate network

For some reason, when I attempt to connect to one of my computers or one of my kids' (in this case, to help troubleshoot a tech problem), I am told upon connection that I am using the product for commercial purposes, and I am therefore kicked off the service within a couple of minutes.
How do I get this fixed? There is nothing commercial—and everything "personal"—about my usage.

I have an issue that I have no idea what caused it. A while ago and till now I keep getting disconnected from any user I try connected to for no reason. I'm my account for myself and to assist friends on the go when needed but because of the message I keep on getting I can't deal with that anymore.
Before that, I used to be able to connect simultaneously without any issues, but now I have to open the web-console in order to connect to anyone or even my home pc. Keeps telling me it's an issue regarding the license where I don't have one since I'm using this as my personal account.

I use teamviewer to connect my laptop to my personal PC at home while I'm at school. Recently, I've received a message that tells me that my license is detected as "commercial" and that i need to upgrade. Since then, it disconnects me every 5 minutes and asks me to upgrade. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Ive tried changing my MAC address but my school doesn't allow me to.

I only use TeamViewer for my laptop to connect to my home PC, and sometimes I help my mom remotely because her windows computer sometimes has an issue. I got the commercial license pop up, I put in the request to fix it back to the free license and never got an answer.
Because it has become unusable for me to use my home gaming PC remote, is there a free alternative like TeamViewer that can remote control in a similar way?
I'm on Linux OS.

Teamviewer support is non-existent. The free license reset doesn't work. I have my laptop and my desktop, and the 1-2 times a year I help my mom. And today after using it for maybe the 4th time this year, it says "commercial use detected." What a lie.
849 dollars per year cannot be justified for the (maybe 6-8 times per year) I need to use teamviewer for my home stuff.
