They reset my free license after about a week and multiple reset requests and posts on X about it, everything was fine for maybe 5 days and the my account was flagged again. I sent the request once again but this process needs to be fixed, guess

I have the same issue… earlier (years ago) I wrote support ticket several times.. then it worked for a short time.. then same problem again… maybe I changed the laptop, I don't remember… but I'm using the same Teamviewer account.
Earlier I used it from a machine which was joined to Windows domain. Since it was my work computer, but I never used free Teamviewer for work. I connected only to my family member's or sometimes friends computers.
But this machine is not even connected to a domain. However this is also my work laptop at another company. I'm too lazy to use multiple laptops, and it is not forbidden to use for private purposes.
Fun fact: today the only way I was able to connect to the computer of my dad's brother to install teamviewer to a work virtial server, which is running on domain joined Windows Server on VMware… And it worked… So this business detection is crazy.. I don't understand why is it detecting business usage in some cases, and not in more "business like" scenarios.And I'm not using Teamviewer too much… I don't know exactly, but I'm almost sure that it was less than 10 times in the last 1 year…

Same problem here. I did not stopped the time, but all the last uses the connection stopped after a few minutes. After that it's also not possible to reconnect because this is blocked by TeamViewer für about 15 minutes.

Same here, it's a cash grab. Shame, I actually liked using TeamViewer for the last 15 years. What a con to not even let you contact anyone to ask for assistance too. This support forum is great but it's not like you're ever going to get anything looked at from here….

I tried to help a friend and TeamViewer told me I have to buy a license to do so, I was using the free version, now I can't use it anymore, so I guess I will have to uninstall it.

Since a few weeks, Team Viewer gives me always a "commercial use - connection time out". I am logged in into the same network, the same IP, just for maintance my printer.

How can prove to TeamViwer that im not using it for comercial use . Becouse i only use it to help my friends and it won't alow me to do it anymore and it says that im using it for comercial work
it even can be proven by seing that i only conect to users near me +-5km

Since a few days, my connections (sessions) are aborted because of limited time, even though I have a free account which is legally used to perform help family and a few friends.
Can you explain to me why this is?
Before this I could use this free account without any time-limits.
Now the time period is that short I cant even try to investigate the problems of others.
I am using teamviewer only in a personal, non-business environment.

like many others, despite only using TV occasionally and for the same contacts every time it seems I have been incorrectly deemed to be a commercial user…. I submitted a reset request last week but have not heard anything yet

Guys, it's blatantly obvious they are doing this to steal your personal info. Otherwise the form wouldn't be so detailed. In the past it was enough to send one request via email, now it's… this. They are doing shady and potentially illegal stuff. It's insane how greedy this thing has become. It used to be a cool piece of software, now they grew too large to let any single dollar pass. They flood you with ads and now they do this.
They are obliged to inform you what they do with the data they gather. Obviously, they will lie. But you should demand this information anyway so that they go criminal when they start selling your personal data.

My parents bought a new computer, and moved to another country, I tried he helping them set up their computer but TeamViewer is saying that I'm using the application for commercial purposes when I only use it to help my parents how can I let him viewer that is only to help my loved ones? I also help them with their cell phones and last time I tried to help it did not allow me. please help. It locked me out.

I actually got the same issues here. It always says that I use it in a commercial way. I already filled out a form and submitted it. Then I got notified that my account got unlocked but since then it still shows the warning and disconnects me. Is there any chance to enable my account again please?

I downloaded Team to install for personal use but when installing I mistakenly installed it for the company so now when using the software to connect to another computer it only allows 30 seconds of use. I need instructions to fix this problem.

Hi, my account has been limited to one minute only and it says I have been using the software commercially which is not true. I am helping my parents abroad maybe once a week or less.
I don't use it enough to purchase a license.
How to get rid of the limitations?

I "survived" a reboot, this time! Thanks, TV! I wonder why some people are not being reset? I would much rather use FREE TV than the other G product mentioned that "they" keep bleeping out. It is a "decent, but featureless" alternative…IF TV IS NOT WORKING.

Hi, I have remotely control a computer once, I tried to remotely control yesterday, it shows the message that the commercial use detected , I have no clue what it is about, I recall that probably my previous company use TeamViewer to support my personal computer which I worked from home, I have left my job since April 2024. Can you please find out what's going on.

When logged in I see "Fee license (personal use only)" but remote control sessions only last about 2 minutes. When it times out, I get a message saying "Your current TeamViewer plan does not include connection to customized TeamViewer modules." I'm not sure what the issue is since I've been using TeamViewer within the last 6 months successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
