Teamviewer password window comes up but nothing happens when connected

When I enter my Partner ID remote control . "press connect" 

The password window will come up. I enter my password and press connect but nothing happens. And I do it all over again in a loop. but it doesnt connect to my remote PC. I keep pressing "Connect" until I get "too many connection attempts" please try again in 3184 seconds. If the solution is restarting Teamviewer on the remote computer that is not possible for me as I am in a lockdown and I have no physical access to the remote PC.

As you correctly guessed, unfortunately, if a restart of the TeamViewer on your side didn't help, you will need to reboot the computer ofn the remote side as well...?
