Can't remotely control Ubuntu 20 after a reboot until I log in on the physical server
It shows the computer as online after a remote restart, but then I still cannot connect (just fails with no error message) until I log in locally. After that I can connect remotely and everything works fine. The target computer is running Ubuntu 20.04 and TeamViewer 15 (start with system is checked).
Old posts regarding Ubuntu 18 had a workaround (here) and (here) but it does not work on Ubuntu 20.

Anyone else having problems. I just installed Debian 10 and TV Host 15. I'm having the exact same problems.

I had a similar problem with my Ubuntu 20.04/20.10 Desktop.
I solved it by completely disabling Wayland because on my machine it was enabled for the login screen but not for the desktop. So I could only connect after login in.

Hello,
I have the same Problem on Ubuntu Server.
At first a installed xfce as Desktop and I thought that was the problem.
I uninstall xfce and installed ubuntu-desktop: sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends ubuntu-desktop
TV still doesn't work. I disable Wayland, but it doesn't work .
Mmh, what's can I do?

I uninstall the TeamViewer und reinstall Ubuntu Desktop and GDM3 and installed the TeamViewer again.
Now, I can connect, but the screen is black. I only see the mouse cursor.
