Can no longer UAC for Easy Access

Prior to this terrible new version I would assign endpoints to my TV account via 'Easy Access' by running the TV app as admin, then granting easy access.

With the new version I can't launch the TV client via 'run as administrator' as it complains about writing to a non-existent Edge WebView directory.

There is no local admin account, all domain admin, with only user-level accounts. These endpoints are all autopilot/intune AADJ, with TV deployed via intune app.

I also cannot launch the TV client in userspace, then click 'grant easy access' in the footer, as that will nag about admin access, without elevating to a UAC prompt.

Not sure what to do here, I've been happy with TV for years but the writing is on the wall.

I've created and deployed a host app in the interim, which allows me to UAC and grant easy access manually, but not sure how I'll keep that host app up to date.

    Hi @etb,

    Thank you for your message.

You are correct - the right way to use TeamViewer in an unattended access context is to install the Host and set up unattended access on the remote device.

Please find all the steps described here:

📄 Connect to a remote device (unattended access)

Controlling UAC during a connection is now possible with version v15.42.5.

You can find the instructions here: Control UAC during a TeamViewer session

Please make sure to update your clients with the new interface.

Let me know if you have any further questions! I'll be happy to assist.
