Connecting to a VPN while logged into Team Viewer

I am having an issue where I cannot use a program that utilizes a Cisco VPN on my work computer once I login to teamviewer. I don't remember this ever being an issue before, but now everytime I login and attempt to use the program, it says it is connected to the VPN but the program won't work, it just sits there blank. (I login to teamviewer and then connect to a new Cisco VPN on that computer's desktop, that VPN says "connected." Then I open the program that would utilize that connection and it is just a blank screen).

Is this a Teamviewer issue or is the program blocking the connection itself? I just don't remember ever having this issue before? I am using the free version, if that makes a difference. Also, I know the other program is working as I just used it directly on my office computer yesterday in between the two days I have tried to connect remotely.
