Run hidden
Is it possible to run TeamViewer in a "hidden" mode? What I mean by this is, Is it possible to run TV and have no system tray icon? The reason I am asking is for security purposes. We have computers we allow public patrons to use. We would like to be able to run TV in unattended mode in case we need to access them when staff is not around. These computers have admin rights but have been locked down with 3rd party software to prevent them from accessing certain things. Unfortunately this software is uable to prevent them from launching TV from the system tray. We do not want the patrons to be able to access it and possibly change settings

Hi Biniecki,
The software does not have a "hidden" mode as we must be sure that our software is not used for snooping purposes, so it will always display in the sys tray if it is running as a service. There will also always be a slide out window on connection.
However, a Better option in your case would be to make sure you are using the Host version of the software, disable the random password and lock out the options with a password.
You can lock out the options in the options under Advanced > (Scroll right to the bottom) > Fill in the Options Password.
This will mean that users cannot access or edit your settings.
I hope this helps

I have the exact opposite of this explanation.
Teamviewer is starting with windows and close to tray is selected and grayed out.
There is no Teamviewer icon in the system tray upon reboot of the machine.
Have to manually start the program for it to reappear.
Am running V.15 (current as of 2021.03.12)
