Teamviewer service does not start on Android phone after setting Disable remote input

I just installed Teamviewer Host on my Andriod phone, (Samsung  SM-S920L) and the teamviewer service started once I rebooted my phone. I was able to remote control my phone via my PC. However, I wanted to keep the screen on the phone black while I was remoted in so I  changed the advanced settings for the phone in my computers and contacts settings to disable remote input and show black screen. I reconnected to my phone but the screen did not stay black. I rebooted my phone again and the service never started.

So I changed the setting back from disable remote input and show black screen to inherited and rebooted the phone. The service now started properly again. It appears, the service does not start autmoatically when changing it from inherited. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
