Version 10 & Windows 10

I've got a lifetime license for V10, but am now having issues using it with Windows 10. Are there any solutions out there to get it to work properly? It's not an everytime occurance it doesn't work, but certainly not the instant connection I have when using V14. 

I've reverted back to V10 as it simply isn't economically viable for me to keep paying for a license each year. Support just give a blanket response you need to buy V14 as V10 doesn't work with Windows 10, which is annoying as I was sold this license 2 weeks after Windows 10 was released. 

Is there the option for a lifetime license in V14 rather than subscription?
