Wake on lan error

I have going through the steps of turning on wake on lan.  When I try to wake up the computer I get this error message Device cannot be reached directly and no neighbor is available.   What does this mean?   In English please not that good with computers.

    I am having the same issue. It happens when I choose the wake from TeamViewer IDs within your network option. If I choose the Public Address option it will look like it is atempting to wake if I try to wake from my phone. The action icon will start spinning, but the computer never wakes.

    Any solution to this??? Is this a mystery?
