Need Clarification on IOS vs Android Support for Screen Sharing

Browsing through the multitude of posts on this forum, it seems clear that Team Viewer does not support Screen Sharing on IOS very well. However, all bugs aside, is it Team Viewer's intent that the product should support screen sharing from a Mac to an iPad?

I have also read somewhere (sorry, can't remember where) that only Android actually supports screen sharing.If this is true, please let me know and I will move on.

Just for the record, my desire is to use my MacBook Pro to connect to my iPad Pro so I can use a standard keyboard and trackpad for input, and if possible, also be able to copy and paste text from the Mac to the iPad. If Team Viewer should have the ability to do this, I would be inclined to pursue working out the issues with my inability to successfully broadcast.
