Free disk space is less than 10%?

I am trying to connect to my work computer but it keeps timing out? I am also seeing a message saying

Free disk space is less than 10%? What is going one?

In my experience

if the free space is = 0 then you will not be able to connect.

But your problems could be related to different things.
