Been using Remote Access for 1 week. Someone at office tried to login computer with usual credentials and could not. I could log in remotely. What would block the usual login?
I'm not sure if this is what's happening. I haven't had the time to test the idea. But maybe go to
Actions pull down and look if the box (disable remote input) is checked.
I do check that box all the time while remoting into my computer as well as the (show black screen).

When trying to login into the account, what error messages have you gotten?
